SAP Analytics Cloud

What SAP wants to gather on a single platform to simplify Business Intelligence products
we know, but many are confused about it. SAP in the near future
will make the improvements on the cloud platform or will the Business Objects BI updates to the platform?
Will it include?

Business analytics investments of SAP until SAPPHIRE event
The idea that it would be based on the cloud was dominant. After the announcement at the event, a wide
On-premise improvements in Business Objects BI Platform
made the users laugh.

According to the announcement, Business Objects BI 4.2 SP7 – SP8 updates as well as BI
It was a great surprise for everyone that 4.3 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2019.

This brought to mind the question: What kind of a road map on SAP Business Analytics
Will follow? We can express it as follows:

The following dates will apply to the Business Objects BI Platform:

* Accordingly, Explorer and Dashboard Maintenance will end completely in 2020.

Another question that we have in mind is whether Cloud can replace Business Objects Enterprise. Opinions on this issue are also divided into two. Some of the SAP experts think that we are so used to using it and that on-premise improvements that provide us with flexible mobility in every sense should continue. The most important factor that supports this is that the changes to the data on the Cloud platform are not easy enough, the use of the platform is different from the conventional on-premise structure and the users’ question marks about data security.

On the other hand, opinions that argue that Cloud, which you can easily access via browser without the need for any client, will be the only platform for analytics, is also undeniable. According to these views, Analytics Cloud will bring the following innovations to our lives:

Planning, Predictive, BI in one: Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis features have been added to the existing ones and brought together under the same platform. Especially the Prediction feature allows machine users to analyze the unknowns with their ability to analyze in seconds and helps companies to make decisions.
It offers the opportunity to model data and instant data analysis from various data sources on the browser.
It has the feature of being designed over the browser without the need for any client.
Since 2019, the Design feature will come to make design easier and more effective, as in Lumira Designer.
It is a platform where innovations are applied with a very short interval of two weeks.

Although SAP continues to work on two different platforms, the main goal when looking at the big picture is “One platform for all analytics (Cloud)”. If we talk a little bit about this work called HYBRID; its aim is to analyze the design with simple, powerful visuals by combining cloud and on-premise applications on a single platform.

The key elements of adopting the SAP Hybrid BI strategy are based on minimizing problems and allowing reuse of existing investments, while recognizing the need to modernize the user experience and offer the latest analytics features in a local cloud solution.

The BI component of the Analytics product strategy focuses on combining SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise in a mixed solution that enhances the power of both platforms as well as providing a seamless experience in on-premise and cloud environments.

SAP has not developed its Hybrid solution only for a technological development. In addition to this goal, it wanted to both speed up and facilitate the transition process of its customers to the cloud.

The fact that all these platforms are different from each other may cause confusion about the user to reach which report from which platform. At this point, SAP comes up with the Analytics Hub solution. Its main purpose is to provide access to all analytical platforms from a single point. The solution prevents reports from being reproduced and ensures that all analytics platforms are displayed correctly. Since all analytics solutions can be accessed simultaneously, its usage can be monitored and you can analyze which systems, data sources and analytics are used more.
